Ok, so yesterday I joked in my gaming 2019 review, that I was 11 away from doing it, and could I get it before the end of the year.
Well after a little Fifa 20, Halo: Master Chief Collection and Forza Motorsport 6. I managed to get a few more than 11 and move past the milestone with days to spare.
Looking back, it was the 13th April 2019 that I hit the 5500 target and so I haven’t been playing a lot to acquire the additional 250. Approximately 31 per month, there are some LEGO games in there somewhere, LEGO Ninjago was 100% completed a little while ago. I think with a little more effort I could have reached it a while ago.
As I was playing back in April, Minecraft has also featured heavily in the gathering of achievements as tasks have been completed and games played through.
The below graphic, was my achievement completion percentage shown in the mid 2019 review post.
The completion percentage below is from today, you’ll notice that the percentage is down, this is despite me unlocking more I keep acquiring new games and am still playing catch up. Hovering around the same percentile marker.
I have games that I have recently acquired that I have not yet started, I’ll wait until 2020 and see how I can progress. I still have things to finish off, and I am sure that I can rapidly move towards the 6000 milestone.
Planning a little Assassins Creed 2020, I have a few games building up to be finished or started and they should distract me for a few days of play. Let me know if you are a fan of Assassins Creed and if so your favourite on of the series. I am playing them in a strange order but that is just due to the order that I got them.
I have been enjoying a little play today collecting those day specific achievements on Halo Master Chief Collection. But with those popped I thought I would look back on 2019, and what I’ve managed to play through etc.
To start with, streaming is still no more than testing. Without a couple of essential items that I still haven’t got around to picking up it will be no more. But I can do from through the Xbox without a headset.
Games I have mentioned in posts through the year. The Division 2, Gears 5, Shadow of Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 4, Star Wars Fallen Order, to name a few have all preoccupied me at times. Though one that did get some play recently was Halo Reach, when that was added to Halo Master Chief Collection it was instantly played through.
I have picked up some games from the Microsoft Store in the holiday sales and was even nice enough to gift a game too. So I’ve tried that out now.
I have been adding to my Assassins Creed collection and have more to play in 2020.
I hit a few milestones during the year, 5500 achievements unlocked had a nice ring to it. I have a couple of hundred now and might see if I can get 5750 before the end of 2019 (11 required).
Of course there are new games and the Xbox Series X console to look forward to in 2020.
Ok, so again, catching up a little with myself after last night. But still back during an earlier post I was briefly mentioning my progress through the Halo Spartan Ops missions.
Well it may have been a few years of very slow progress but I have now finished all 10 episodes (on normal) and can briefly put Halo down again whilst concentrating on other games.
So I have uninstalled it and currently there are a number of smaller games been installed in it’s place on the Xbox One S (or Xbox 2). I doubt it will be for long though as there is still much that I wish to complete on it and Spartan Ops was merely a small objective.
The Achievements that kindly went pop, pop, pop were:
10 – Feet First
10 – Exodus
10 – Terms of Enlistment
I am off now to play something else, not sure what, but I’ll let you know soon how I get on.
I am still getting to grips with this, and those few words might start a few of these posts. What should improve is the content that flows after.
A reasonable amount of uninterrupted gameplay was enjoyed over the weekend with the occasional pop heard.
Thinking of changing my Xbox profile colour from Red, I’ve had that for a few years now and I think it’s time to look at options.
Still haven’t started Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but if you’ve read any of my previous blogs then you’ll see that I have been hopping back and forth with planned games and played games that I didn’t intend and unlocked achievements I didn’t expect so all good.
In the last 2 days, I’ve unlocked 15 achievements in 9 games so the tidy up is going rather well I think and my percentage is moving in the right direction. I think I have enough of a cushion to start a new game and not drop to far back the other way.
I am going to restart Call of Duty Black Ops soon, just so I can complete it and know how the game plays through. Then, I will spend the time doing it on Veteran.
Over the weekend I went to look at my saved progress on Halo Master Chief Collection and noticed that it wasn’t there? So before I play again (happy to) I will be checking achievement unlocks to see which Spartan op is the next one that I need to do.
Once I have finished those, I plan on finally starting on the cross game playlist achievements. Theres a few others that should be finished off whilst completing these as well.
On the side, I am compiling the wish list for 2019 as the games start coming out. There are a few I have my eye on and so look forward to spending time playing this year, having spent 2018 catching up on The Division, I am looking for ward to The Division 2. Anything in particular that you are keeping an eye out for? Let me know.
Hi, just planning what I want to spend time on as we approach the final part on the month.
Firstly, I aim to reach level 25 on Overwatch, it’s not that I am slow, I could do it quicker, I just don’t live on it. Should reach that little target this week.
There is some tidying up to do on Mass Effect Andromeda, so I will keep playing that. Or now that I have finished, I may start a new playthough and try and do it a little more complete.
I am just getting started really on Forza Horizon 4 and progress is good, at the same time I hop over to Forza Motorsport 7 and complete a few races.
Really need to get past my roadblock on Call of Duty Black Ops (1), I picked it up again now it’s backward compatible and have been playing on Veteran to contiue my old path, but have never gotten past a certain point, try try again.
At some point I will be sitting down and really starting to play Grand Theft Auto 5, I hear it’s good?
On top of this I have just started playing Titanfall again, really is a great pick up and play game.
Moving into February I aim to get back on Halo Master Chief Collection and complete the Spartan Ops missions.
